Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) cares for extremely premature infants and those with cardiac, neurological, and surgical needs. It is located right down the hall from the Kaiser Permanente Family Birth Center.  The team of specially-trained providers care for our smallest and most fragile patients (and their parents) like they are family. Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center is one of only two hospitals in the state where mom and baby are able to stay together at the same facility if they both need access to ICU care.

Babies have their own high-tech infant care center (isolette bed) to keep them warm, safe and allow for continuous monitoring as they grow and thrive.
